As an intern with Sunbeam Family Services, I was able to focus and hone my storytelling skills. With the constant need for publicity and fundraising to support the nonprofit, I was forced to be creative and concise with the frequent releases we sent to media outlets such as News 9 in Oklahoma City. Consultant Media Packages
Includes a news release, media advisory, media pitch, backgrounder, social media news release and fact sheet. Written as work with the Wichita Mountains Candle Company in conjunction with my PR Writing class at Gaylord, in March of 2021. This was my first cohesive take on writing a complete narrative package for an organization and was quite fulfilling to combine my natural storytelling talents with my PR writing skills, especially as I was later the TA for the same class.
Includes a news release and media pitch I wrote as a consultant for the Stafford Air & Space Museum in February of 2021 for my PR Writing class. The pieces aim to generate interest in the new exhibits the museum was premiering and to update the public on the museum's new COVID protocols.
